Soo Near, But Soo Far AwayA Poem by Rena MichiePoem from high school (around 2003). Old stuff
My love for you has grown,
As delicate as your skin, Thinking of you, Makes it deeper within. I long for your touch, Just to feel your face, To hold your hand, That I want to embrace. I wish to lean my head, On your loving shoulder, To smell your cologne, And my feeling I should smolder. To have that feeling, Of security with ease, To know who to turn to, Whenever I please. You know my weaknesses, And all my strengths, By even knowing all that, You will still go to all lengths. Knowing you will be, By my side, And when I am lost, You will be there to guide. If I should ever, Loose my way, I know you will there, To keep me from astray. Thinking of you, Is peaceful and sweet, And without you, I know I would be incomplete. I keep you in mind, In every second every day, Down to the heartbeats, And they never go away. I take a breath, I take two, Each one I have, I think about you © 2017 Rena Michie |
