Poem from high school (around 2003)...teen angst

Have you ever wished you could 
Change the past? 
Replace all those misleading words. 
Especially when it hurts you the most. 

You wish everything could be 
"Back to normal" 
But you knew it couldn't, 
You knew it! 

You hoped they would return to you. 
Heart wide open to you. 
You hoped for it. 
It never happened! 

This one you said you "loved" 
Did they "love" you back? 
You dreamed about it, 
Was it reality? 

You said they were the one for you. 
You thought you two would never part. 
You question yourself, 
Where are they now? 

You said you would search eternity for them. 
Just to be united. 
Have you even started looking? 
You turned away. 

You said that you wanted to change the past, 
Only once if you could. 
What would you say to them? 
You ignored me! 

You thought of the logic. 
You plotted your plan. 
Why changed what already happened, 
Whe you can change what is yet to come. 

You took everything out of contex. 
You may made a mistake. 
But did it kill you? 
You smiled inside. 

Everything is for the best you think. 
You know them once again. 
Will you listen to me next time? 
You nodded, as you turned to the light.
