Nighttime Ritual

Nighttime Ritual

A Poem by Weston R.
"

My April 29th poem for NaPoWriMo 2012

"
My bed calls to me"
I long to sleep tonight to
Wake up rested tomorrow.
And yet, there’s something
That drives me to stay up.
The florescent illumination
Driving out the dark of night
Presses activity onward.
But my eyes are tired
And my body fatigued;
Maybe I’ll lie down
For just a moment…

this sounds like musings of someone who has insomnia. but there is hope that he may get some sleep tonight. perhaps that light was lulling him to sleep. perhaps he just crashed. it's almost stream-of-consciousness. great piece.
