I Am

This is where I'm from.

I am from books, films,

and video games,

computers and typewriters,

pens and paper,

words is where I’m from.

 

I am from “See you later,”

And “Next time.”

I am from my parents

saying “Wake up! It’s time to go.”

 

I am from Christmas, Thanksgiving,

and Easter,

chocolate cake, and steak,

and ham and potatoes.

Family is where I’m from.

 

I am from my mother’s knowledge,

my father’s persona,

my grandmother’s love,

and all of their stories.

 

I am from acting on the stage

and writing anything.

Talking to friends

and debating with them

is where I’m from.

 

I am me.

I am from religion, but am not of religion.

I am from the love of family.

I am from the wisdom and ink of scholars.

That’s where I’m from.

Nice West-Man. I had to write one of these a few days ago. It's "well penned out" and "so life inspiring". Haha, you know what I mean. You really should write another story so I can give a real review. Other than that, I thought it was great.

It is true, I really liked the flow and transition.
It read really smooth. It was lengthy to the eyes, but when you read it, its short and sweet in my opinion. Good job. :)
