Wandering

Wandering

A Poem by Jemima Laing

Tonight is the darkest of nights

There are so many stars in the sky

But their light is so cold and distant

Old souls howl on dry, empty winds

Their tears hiding amongst the rain

Walking these empty skeletal streets

I can see shadows playing tag along

The jagged teeth of broken fences

And cats prowl the abandoned refuse

The abandoned and unwanted step children

Of our new orphaned world

Not much to say. I tend to be influenced by whatever music I am listening to. I also miss-spell many words. My passions include massive amounts of reading and fencing. I do tend break out in song rand.. more..
