Windows

A Poem by voidsparrow
"

no clue where this came from

"

staring up at the arrogant windows

were they reflective once?

i have to say i dont know

but ill be damned if they lust

after anything but dust

blown to them on silver platters.

long gone are the legs that

carried the concrete,

caged creatures simply taking root

at the spot where they fell,

no strength left to stand

helpless in the summer heat.

laying face up, breaking bread

with the spiders living large;

unaware of the shadows

tattooed in the yard

by the sun so vengeful

beating down hard on the

previously reflective windows,

now cooking the people inside.
