the lookout

the lookout

A Poem by voidsparrow
"

about a spot overlooking ellensburg that my friends and i would visit at night.

"

On top of the world

You and i.

Circumventing city after city,

But no matter which ones we break through

They are all the same one.

Our home town.

Littleville in the middle

Of f*****g nowhere

Was the way you described it;

Like you had a passion for describing

The worthlessness of things.

And on the rocks we sat

And stared at whatever it was

That we saw.

Stars, city lights.

When your that far away,

They all look the same.

And we spoke of manly things,

Like the future, mustard gas and god.

But we, like everybody else in this world

Were really thinking about

Food, sex, and explosions.

So lets watch scarface

And order a pizza.
