courage perhaps?

courage perhaps?

A Poem by voidsparrow
"

there is a fine line between courage and stupidity.

"

i followed two sets

of footprints in the sand

to the edge of the water.

there was no blood,

but i wondered anyway.

two lovers gone for a swim?

two friends venturing

to find treasure ?

two people of unknown origin,

unknown stature,

unknown color and creed.

two people bent on discovering

what lies beyond,

dual curiosities to feed.

two minds set to tread the depths,

perhaps to see

what can't be seen?

or two dumb kids who's autopsies

would reveal

just a trace of speed?

Questions are far more interesting than statements, aren't they?

A curious piece.

But of course they do invite stupidity, such as one person walking to the sea, changing shoes and then walking backwards.
