sleepless questions

sleepless questions

A Poem by voidsparrow
"

i just keep finding this old crap lying around.

"

whats in a name?

if i found a new one with a new face

would i stay the same or would i change?

would i find the ghosts that i've been chasing?

or would they escape me as always?

do clocks turn their wheels to feel alive,

or just to pass the time?

does a tree wait to be cut down?

do birds wait to die,

or do they sing, never knowing

they are born with an expiration date?

do the stair steps in rotting houses

lose their purpose?

i dont think so.

i think they fade away feeling complete.

and i think i was going to say something original,

but its 1:38 in the morning

and the ghosts have gone into hiding.

it feels like they are pondering life but every question leads to another and it's overwhelming them until they've gone crazy
