bellevue at night

A Poem by voidsparrow
"

(hey serah, THIS was the good walk home)

"
footfalls on the cracks
sound a little different
than the too familiar steps
taken in the suicide lane
it's a refreshing shuffle.
eyes wide and ready to
fight the lights and concrete
but i will settle for a
dance with the wind while
it whispers stories to me.
i long for the moment
when a train actually
passes underneath the bridge
so i can spit on it as i
indulge in my wanderlust.
the city is nice and
full of noise and people
but its the dark corridoors,
flickering lamps, and
angry tree limbs that
give me goosebumps.
the good ones, i mean.
