Lunch Date with NekoA Poem by saccharineMy take on a heartbreak poemWrapped in blankets of seaweed Lies more than just pillows of rice A craving for attention, darling It’s the vice of greed
Did you keep the lucky cat With frozen eyes And as you eat seductive fish It slowly dies
My, my Curiosity does kill It’s the creatures without whiskers That have had their plenty fill
It’s the forest that entices Brooding fog that hypnotizes And the feelings that arise leaves us Paralyzed
Just add another coin To the mountain of gold Where a selfish dragon sleeps And affection is sold
And when I manage to escape From the lizard’s cave I’ll wave goodbye like our feline friend That passed away © 2015 saccharineAuthor's Note
