Christmas in Hollywood

The JGR party sucked. Ancient christmas music played over the radio. People stood around in small groups, sipping egg nog, and picking at treats. Once in awhile there would be an outburst of laughter.

Joey was bored out of his mind. He had been thinking about Jeanie alot over the past week. Why would she lead him on and then shut him out?

"What a b***h," Joey thought. Still, he missed her. He missed being able to call her whenever he needed. He walked over to where Kyle was standing with Sam and some crew members.

"Hey, Kyle, can we talk?" Joey asked.

"Sure?" Kyled followed him away from the group. "What is it?"

"I got in a fight with Jeanie," Joey explained.

"Who's Jeanie?" Kyle was geniunely confused.

"She's my gir--she was my," Joey searched for the words. "You remember that girl we saw at CVS when we were in New York?"

"Oh yeah! The one with the baby. When did you fight? I'm pretty sure I've only seen her once..."

"Well, we didn't fight recently. It was about a month ago."

"You had a girlfriend and you didn't get sex for a whole month? Poor b*****d," Kyle remarked.

"She's not really my girlfriend. That's not the problem. Shouldn't she have called and apologized yet?"

"What should she be apologizing for?"

"She was being bitchy. She didn't pay attention to what I talked about. And she wouldn't stop correcting me," Joey trailed off.

Kyle gave him a puzzled look. "You think she should be apologizing for that? Really?"

Joey thought for a second. "Well...yeah?"

"Dude. You're the guy. You should apologize if she runs you over with her car. The women are ALWAYS right."

"What if they're wrong?"

"Especially if they're wrong. Then they get upset. And chances are, you screwed up even more than she did. You just don't realize. Now you need to make it right," Kyle explained.

"Whatever. I shouldn't have even asked. You don't get it," Joey frowned.

"Joey. I've got a girlfriend. I think I would know. Make it right." Kyle walked away.
