Author's Note

Vanessa Rico
This story will be a TRILOGY! There is no way I could do my characters justice, if I cram it all into one book. In my dream that I had, which prompted me to create and develop this story, my dream was quite epic and that is what I hope to create. Constructive criticism please! <3 Thank you! <3 This novel is a work in progress. Writing to me can be a slow process especially when I am passionate about something. I will write a page and then immediately go back and edit before going on. I do this because I really do want this book to be published someday! Also if you see any grammatical errors or if something does not make sense please let me know!

***Its about the power of love, survival, and trying to stay in touch with your human-ness despite all the horrors that are happening around you!

I write and edit as I go. I write whatever I have (usually a scene or two) then rewrite. I often go back and alter scenes if I write something later that needs more info earlier in the book. It hasn't slowed me down all that much. Keep at it.

Dean Koontz writes two books a year and says he never leaves a page until it has been rewritten to his satisfaction. I think that might be a little too much... but it works for him. It might for you.

Maybe you should just write a whole bunch of pages before you want to go back in and edit? Just a thought. I would think that going back in and editing might kill your good flow of thoughts.

Unless it's something that MUST be changed right away, I strongly advise against editing as you go. At least, I know it doesn't work for me. If I keep looking back, I'll NEVER get to the end. Just get the story on paper for now, then go back and revise like there's no tomorrow. (That's how the pros do it, so I've heard).
Can't wait to see what your book is about.

Ok. I havent read anything of this yet, but dont worry about a title. Sometimes a title is the last thing an author worries about since you dont really know the direction your are going yet. Just a thought.

well you can go with a simple name. sometimes the most simple name works the best and leaves a mystery. something maybe like "The flu" (also cheesy works).
