Just Another Day

Jade's normal day, and her thoughts about her boyfriend's dad.

 You know, time passes really quickly when your with your boyfriend you’ve been going out with a year. Especially if he’s hot. But only if his name is Magnus Warner will I ever pay attention.

 I used to think if I got myself into the dating scene then I would be blocking out the rest of the world. But it’s actually opened up my eyes, I see things really differently now.

 I’ve been invited to every party, I’m popular with all the Sophomore guys, and now I have the perfect life.

 Right now me and Magnus are making out, in the back of his dad’s old rusted blue car. I’m enjoying every moment of it, at least until I hear someone else’s voice.

“Magnus! What did I tell you about going into my car?!” yelled his father.

 Now, Magnus has some very old-fashioned parents. They don’t mind us dating, but if they ever get wind of us making out every day after school, his dad will be out for his head.

 Magnus tells me, “Hey, I better go, catch ya later!”

 He took his backpack and threw me mine as I ran off to my place.

 As I’m running, I hear Magnus making up an excuse about seeing if the car needed an oil change.

 That’s about all I heard when these vicious dogs started barking.

 Now, I don’t tell everyone this, but I’m terrified of dogs. I feel like I’m gonna get jumped by every one of them.

 So now, I ran for my life back home to find my dad resting on the couch and my mom sipping on some coffee. (as usual.)

 I told my mom hi, then went up to my room before she could reply.

 Now that I think about it, getting interrupted by Magnus’ dad all the time is kind of annoying.
