Strangers in the Park

Strangers in the Park

A Poem by Veronica
"

Just a 'lil poem I thought of while walking home from school....

"

A woman pushing her baby daughter in the baby swings,

or a little boy going down the slide,

appear to be friendly strangers.

A guy smoking by the trash can,

or a thug walking around the play area,

appear to be questionable strangers.

But nontheless, they are all strangers in the park.

Or the mexican man who looks drunk
who is approaching my 11-year-old self
while I am sitting in the deserted Liberty Park
with his eyes locked on me
dosen't appear to be any sort of stranger at all,
because I'm already
running.

:D
