Realization

A girl realizes that all her friends are gone for a week, and has nothing to do.

It was a sunday afternoon in a small town in northern Illinois, and the month was August. A girl named Rayelle found she had nothing to do since her guy buds were at Six Flags at a hotel, and two of her best friends were gone, one, who was at camp for a week, and the other who has been gone since June to visit her mother in South Dakota. She was the only one who wasn't having fun, or so she thought, but she wasn't going to rest until she did something exciting this summer. She has never been on a vacation, at least not a major one, but she does know how to have fun....

 

She sat in her room jotting things down, like she usually did when she was dead bored, which she hasn't been since the end of May, when school was just about over since she went swmming with her friends a lot, and did other goodthings, like play at the park, or watched sunsets, but never anything like what her friends did, and she wanted to do something like that, badly.

 

As she sat there she was thinking of all of them, and how much fun she could be having, but she knew it was their business of what they did, and not hers. She did though, think of exciting things she could do, here's her list;

 

Bike 10 miles, go to movie night at park, go to confectionary, write a huge story, watch the clouds at the big hill in town square by the town's garden, and make a new friend.

 

The only thing she couldnt think of was something for the 7th day, but she'd figure that out on her own time, which she had now, but she had a brain freeze at the moment, and it was on the 8th day all her friends were expected to come back, yet she knew they may be late, so she shrugged it off and fell asleep, since there was nothing else she could do, but wait for the next Monday.

sounds good so far. only one grammar problem that i noticed: the last paragraph was a big, long sentence that could've been broken up into smaller ones. oh well, it doesn't matter. i think rayelle is a pretty name.
