Dementia

Dementia

A Poem by Leo

I'll prove to you that I'm not insane
Letting the blood flow from my veins
In the end, I'll bleed out the pain
It swells up inside ripping through the screams
A black light, an evil joy  it may seem
A precious nightmare, a dreaded dream
I see through your beautiful disguise
Those whispers in my ears, a joy to my eyes
I've killed myself listening to your lies
This is my final hour
The anger and hate, it's mine to devour
Hate me for I hate you, that is my power
There is no warm and gentle embrace
Only the struggles of life in this race
Killing me, killing you, the criminal leaves no trace
The personal hell that resides in me
Rage is what brings me glory
Away from me are all things holy

I read a book about dementia
You know how to capture it quiet well,
Keep going
