Heart In Two

I was a victim at your first glance
A beautiful smile pierced my heart like a lance
The inner warmth was what burned my dread
Yet it left me alone and confused as I lay in bed

I've made a promise to never lie
But the truth would only make you cry
There was a pain as my heart split in two
How was I to say there was another like you


I couldn't live without those things I need
The conflict in me had made my joy bleed
You gave me twice the happiness, double the pain
Emotions were the instruments that played me insane

The feeling of guilt and love filling the hole
It began to overflow, tearing apart the soul
I knew that it was nothing but a liar's honesty
With every kiss and word, I suffered without mercy

I've confessed my love to and twice it was true
It's left to me to decide what's next to do
I lower my hands from the skies above
They are weighed down by the hate for my l
