Walk Away

Walk Away

A Poem by Leo
"

I had never told her my greatest fear, to watch her walk away.

"
Hurt and humiliated, I watched her walk away
She did not look back at my pain
A silent wailing, but I had nothing to say
This heart will drive me insane

"I love you," I remember her voice
Even her favorite song
My goddess, come with me, rejoice!
How could I have been so wrong

My jealousy is unbound and aloof
She no longer cares
This anger I feel, it is only proof
That this life is not fair

Oblivious to this, she has never seen a tear
Another man will have his way
I had never told her my greatest fear
To watch her walk away
