T'was a day of dread and apathy
The clouds hung low to comfort a pained earth Gentle whispers of wind soothed the lonely On this grey solemn night God's vacancy from gaia, ever so obvious To each his own in this white mist The deaf, the mute, the souls, found bliss During this patient solemn night The styx that flowed down the visage A mourner can cast no shadow An epilogue of those that are star-crossed Amidst this sole solemn night To sever a rose from its root A star that hides away in the dark Your passing weighs heavy on my mind Alone, this quiet solemn night
