2 Birds

2 Birds

A Poem by Vlazuvius
"

This is a bit of a break in my usual style, in that it was based on the mood I had at the time and an event that happened that day, rather than stuff I'd kept in my head for reflection.

"

I am weary

Is that not enough?

My body aches

Not in tune with building

But degrading

Worn against the gears of monotony

Rinse and repeat days

Run down a sink that looks like gun metal

My cereal tastes like rust

Each pre-dawn cry of the alarm clock

Sounds like a gawker shouting "Do it!"

I don't even know how long I've been standing on the ledge

I guess you have to eat from trash cans

To drink in a carefree day

Live in the jungle and f**k monkees

To truly know the meaning of bannana

The city has no use for yellow

I saw two birds today

I saw two birds

One sat afraid in a tower of concrete

Awaiting inevitable death

To come in the dark as a stranger

But the other bird

How he flew
