The Stalker

The Stalker

A Poem by Dr. Woogygoo
"

A quick, creepy poem about a woman chased through the rainy night by a mysterious man.

"
The stalker walks faster as I
skirt down alleyways, my heart rate up.
Sideways, down and up I go
as his shadows move slowly
against the windowpanes of the
nearest shops, enclosing them
in total dark.

I swiftly glimpse behind at
an empty narrow path soaked in rain;
where is he? Panic settles in the
deepest pores of my skin. Frantically
I try doors - the barber's, beautician's,
and pharmacy. But no, it's too late.
I am alone.
In the town's center I sit, curled,
eyeing every corner of every street.
He's nowhere, gone in a flash.
Until the blade dances next to me -
I must have fallen asleep.
The ghostly reflection in the puddles
befits my demise.
Lips outline a scream unheard, cheeks white as chalk,
I am just like him with my slashed eyes.

interesting read of a write here...and the imagery well thought out...as you weave this fast pace scene to the reader and the ultimate ending...

Canadian. University student. When it comes to reading, I prefer horror and fantasy. When it comes to writing, I'd call myself a horror writer. But I love the idea of writing fantasy-horror as well. O.. more..
