Gone

Gone

A Poem by Dr. Woogygoo
"

A little poem about a mercilessly dark state of mind.

"
Alert.
His mind is fully alert.
He's watching her with anxious eyes.
He wants to be happier.
He wants her to love him.

Laughter.
Uncontrollable laughter.
He sits by her bedside.
With uncontrollable laughter.
He wants her to see him this way.

Sleep.
He does not sleep.
He practices his smiles in the mirror.
A sight for her to revere.
When she wakes he is ready to show her.

Disgust.
She looks at him in disgust.
Everywhere she goes he follows her.
Always hiding in the corner.
She pierces him with eyes of disgust.

Questions.
The questions, they do not end.
Why does she hate him?
What does she see?
Doesn't she see his smile?

Answers.
She gives no answers at all.
Stays silent.
Silent with eyes of repulsion.
His smile still does not falter.

Alone.
All alone and unhappy.
With a mirror as a close friend.
There is nobody here but she and Hate.
The war in her mind cannot bring her gaiety.

Her mind is far, far gone.

Canadian. University student. When it comes to reading, I prefer horror and fantasy. When it comes to writing, I'd call myself a horror writer. But I love the idea of writing fantasy-horror as well. O.. more..
