THE GUITAR

Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix have a lot to answer for...

My husband has a guitar,

It is his favourite thing,

He’ll polish it on Sundays,

And tighten up the strings.

Then when he’s in the middle

Of strumming out a tune,

He pulls such funny faces,

He looks a proper loon!

His eyes glaze over, in his mind

He’s at the Albert Hall,

I’m glad he’s wearing headphones,

Or he’d drive me up the wall.

Yes, funny faces, how right.I love the jazz piano, and I almost, I said almost,pray that the faces many of the key ticklers are pulling thatthey are indeed being transported temporarily to a hallowed plane.
