genderless

genderless

A Poem by vivekanand

he is hitting the right keys..

subtly echoing off my walls..

and i go into a reverie,

as daylight crawls  over me

after days of incessant rain..

a lover's stealthy tiptoes

after the husband has been gone..

what am i now?

man or woman?

do i have a gender?does it matter..now..

when all i want is to be kissed

warm and tender

on the face and cheek..

there he goes

my invisible pianoman

in my living room...

hitting those sweet keys

of

daylight drenched in rain

.
. fascinating ... very fascinating ... the title is absolutely startling ... sometimes, they keys of a computer keyboard and the internet ... allow people to be beings who are free-er in self-expression ... than their own versions in real life ... although personally, i see little point in remaining in a marriage if it's not working out and infidelity upsets me no end ...

. "daylight drenched in light" is a poem in and of itself ... beautiful writing, as always, V. ...
