something i wrote 2 years ago for someone special.

In a field of lilies and roses

She lays with me

This eternal place in my head

Where the calamities of life can never find us

In this field of lilies and roses

I stare into her lime green eyes

Those lime green eyes staring right back in infinite love

And I’m whole

Because I’ve went through life searching for this place where my mind can find peace at last

No woman before providing me this comfort

No woman before bringing this feeling to my heart

In a field of lilies and roses, she’s the only one who belongs here with me

Nobody else matters

Nothing else matters

Just me

Just her

Just this place

And under the stars we lay

In a field of lilies and roses

Holding her in my arms.

And when I wake up

Reality consumes me

But the visions of that field never go away

And one day

Far from now

I can only hope that my children find the place in their heads where their love will never die

Because no beauty in the world can match her and this place

Soft white skin and lips

Those lips I’ve kissed a million times

And each kiss is just as amazing as that first

This is really beautiful. It makes me want to cry. ha ha. But I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. I like the imagery. I like that without being too obvious you told us what she looked like. It flows nicely and the repeating line kind-of pulls it all together. One thing tho. This line "You currently reside in my heart and my head", the "currently" seems awkward. Like you don't expect this to last long, which would've been fine if it hadn't have clashed with the next couple lines of forever and always. Anyways I really loved this poem!
