![]() FidelityA Story by Sophie![]() Imagine two people in love, sitting on a couch on a rainy day, watching television. It's simple, yes - but amazing.![]() We sit on the couch, my head on your chest, our feet intertwined. I can hear the steady, reassuring beat of your heart - the same heart you promised me. I can't remember the last time I ate anything, or made a stop at the bathroom. It feels as if time as stopped. Your arm, draped over my shoulders, is warm and protective. It feels nice. With your free hand, you flip through the channels, and stop when you reach the news. The endless depressing stories flashing across the screen reminds us how the rest of the world is struggling. The rain slaps the windows, and the sky is a heavy gray. A single lamp lights the room. I imagine if I was one of those people on the t.v. - hungry, cold, alone. I shudder. You notice, and grab a blanket lying on the floor. After wrapping it around me, I whisper my thanks, and look up into your eyes. You have the pretties eyes, you know. The prettiest, deepest green i've ever seen. And your lips - they fit perfectly with mine. "I love you," I whisper, still staring at your gorgeous eyes. You stare back. "I love you more." I can feel a smile curling on my face. "Thats not possible." Suddenly I feel your lips moving in sync with mine, our tongues dancing. Putting a hand on the back of your neck, I pull you in closer. BOOM. A clash of thunder and I quickly pull away, startled. I giggle. "Sorry." You laugh, with your eyes sparkling. "What am I going to do with you?" "I have an idea." And we continue right where we left off. © 2008 SophieAuthor's Note
