It was in her voice

It was in her voice

A Poem by Kristi Brooks

She told me it had been the rain.

The sky had opened up
and Zeus had seen
fit to dump water over
her in thick ribbons.

I shivered as she
told of how she could not

move as the rain
froze into panes of ice
that sliced through her flesh
and pierced her moral center.

I wondered how many pieces the sky
was in when it fell.

This is a very interesting poem. I see this
lady being frozen and hurt badly by what
Zeus did. It's like a Greek Myth, with Zeus
hurting anyone who didn't want to go along
with what he wanted. I like this poem
alot.
