A promise made to a lover

Filled with happiness I go to bed

knowing I think of you

Your Image sticks in my head

my love for you so true

You are my dark cloud on a scorching day

Keeping me from catching fire

With every single word you say

exponentially grows my desire

I know that time can quench a flame

and that others may come too

know my love is always the same

this I promise you.
