The RibbonA Poem by LiaI got bored in chemistry the other day so I started writing in the margins of my notes.A scarlet ribbon spread Across her fragile wrist Slipped down her arm In dripping loops Her sobs muffled By the door As she watched The ribbon stain Her porcelain Arm Red She watched the ribbon Slide off her wrist And onto her leg She saw the smooth Thin lines that stayed And knew those lines Would be left on her thigh No one wants A cracked Porcelain plate Nor a stained one But her wrist was broken Shattered by lines of red And now her thighs Were stained too No one would want Her anymore But no matter No one wanted Her to begin with
