This is you, this is RealA Poem by Where the night sky and fallen blossoms meetmotivational of finding yourself at a happy moment within yourself Maybe a bit of a surprise, suddenly seeing a different you.Walking in the dark isn't very new from time to time it can get a bit frighteningnot knowing what might lurk further ahead in the dark foggy abyss Cold to the palm of my hand no where near unbearable but enough to open your sensessoft skin gliding down the smooth surface feel the faint ridges, pattern of earth You know there are elongated circular patterns rings of proof the years it lived before it was re-rooted and changed into a new form Push right through the threshold where light encompasses the room by mere wantall day walk around in a vessel that you know is yours but turn to the side and see that gloss shine light bouncing in every direction unseen to the eye Staring at the reflected glass you see another it is very familiar figure and yet you wonderWho is that What are they Where have they been all this time How long have they been there Has everyone else seen this person Emotions arise to the top ExcitingMysterious Invigorating Motivating Hormones bounce left to right this person you recognize beyond the other sidea new feeling, a good feeling hands on the cool surface on the same level as your waist cold once again That sensation seeping into your skin this is realthat person is you the better you the happier you the continuous growing you Outside this encasing room is just walls mistakes happentwo steps forward sometimes calls for one step back fear lurks in every step depression attacks when you are the most weak inner strength seems to be shy and bashful Yet progress is made nothing for naughtbetter, stronger, happier nothing free Murphy's law is not infinite not forever, short moments bringing the happiness even more stronger deep breath, filling the lungs chest expands, eyes settle on the image Crack of a smile, soft and warmfilled with energy confident and assured THIS IS YOU, THIS IS REAL. Downfalls Happen, but vines growing through concrete cracks in a concrete jungleYou are surviving, every minute becoming that flower you wish to be, going higher than any sky scrapper or plane can go.. Not a dream, not imagination, very much awake and alive out, out , walk run sprint jogthrough that threshold back into the darkness come back again to see the bigger progress different mistakes, different problems, different depression See you in the next appointment can't run away you will come back you will see ever growing ever changing but always you. © 2011 Where the night sky and fallen blossoms meet |
