Night

The ache of my body
the feeling inside
the strumming of my tired heart
the humming of my mind
All combine together
all make me whole
the eyes of heavy lead
the yawns that engulf the world
The rythm my ears hear
All put together
all the sleepy rhyme
sheep that pass counted one by one
voice in the distant are become a hymn
the clouds that carry me way up in the sky
the moon that holds me
the night that covers me to keep me warm
the stars the eyes that watch me all through the night
All combine into one
so that i start to fall into sweet slumber
may i see you there
whether you be
my friend
my pet
my prince charming
my support
my water that i take in
the air that keeps me alive
may i meet you there
and may we greet with a smile
