SoulSnatch

SoulSnatch

A Poem by Izzy Skye

Where is my love?

Lost in the stars, dear
Mislaid in the skies

Snatched from within
From In-between thighs

The sky flooded crimson.

The rain fell clear.

Forgiveness unveiled through appropriate drear.

Take shelter in slumber
Lay a rose parallel

Your hand over emptiness
A double farewell.

Echoes of a heart
born to another
reverberant thrum
but your own
etched in chambers
that pound
with excitement
it brings
tis then we feel
our mightiest
when owned
most desolate when
love bids adieu

A lasting glimmer of loveliness, young lady
making mum crow like a chanticleer

Ah, my favorite kind of poetry, the short but powerful piece. You read it in 20 seconds and it reverberates in your mind the rest of the day. Beautifully poignent
