Dusk

Dusk

A Poem by Tara

I love how the first layer of evening

folds so gently

into days last shades

as Orion peeks

from his soft ledge of night.

The sweet air of dusk

lures me to the bay

but along the way

something deepens the sky

and alerts the army of fireflies

and poor dusk

is soon forgotten.

the magic of dusk. you really paint a pretty picture here tara. i loved it.

the first stanza is perfect. i was enchanted by how you describe the colors shifting and orion perched on the edge of his seat. :)

This is such a beautiful, peaceful observance. You've captured the fleeting moment so well. I love the phrase: "soft ledge of night" and the image of fireflies brightening as the day wanes. So well done!
