Raw

Raw

A Poem by Tara

his poetry left marks
it was raw
unadulterated
meant for me.

he spoke in riddles
yet i knew of what he wrote.
truth
in all its ugliness
and blood thirsty need.

i read him
and he slayed me.
cut me down the middle.
made me examine
unexamined things.

he was a light bulb
in a dark room
illuminating all that was hidden.
and i loved him
for all he was

and all i could not be.

Wow, 'he spoke in riddles' but you knew he was
'slaying you' with truth, so honest and yet
you loved him This an excellent personal perspect
