Put the Elephant DownA Poem by Tara
Don't you know baby, that this IS life?
You are still waiting are you not? For your life to start? To get easier? Don't you know sweetheart, that the clock is ticking? You go back way too often And you jump forward a hell of a lot. Learn the word "NOW" baby. Yes, we can hold your hand sigh along with you. Commiserate on all the suffering. Does it help though? Look up, my love. Past the self imposed clouds Past the bubble of doubt and self loathing. Look up and see God. Don't you feel the love? Close your eyes. It can warm the coldest of souls. Forgive, my sweet child. Forgive. You can light your candles. You can run into the arms of many. You can even sleep your life away. Instead take a breath. Breathe, my love. The strength you pray for is within. The love you wish for you already have. The rest of it is just illusion. Just silly thoughts . Let them come. Let them go. Just Be. Someone told me that once. It made me put down the elephant. The one I had been carrying for years. Put down your elephant baby. Stretch your arms out before you. Get down on your knees. Release it all my love. You will see with new eyes. Abundance all around. Such incredible beauty. Such light. Put the elephant down now baby. © 2013 TaraReviews
