The Bloody Demon

                This is a story about a man who has fallen to Hell, Sid Ramies. Sid was a desperate man when he was alive. Strung out on drugs every night to escape his awful world, Sid was the son of a w***e and a psychopath. His parents died when he was a kid, his mom of an over dose and his dad in a robbery gone wrong. Sid grew up on the streets of Arizona because no orphanage would keep him do to his violent outbreaks.

                When he was a teen Sid got an offer from The Hell Hounds to join their gang as a con artist. He was in charge of the streets and collecting money for small scams. He made $1200 a day off his scams and rose in the ranks of the gang. He was feared by the other members for snapping on a guy for trying to take his spot. By the time he was 22 he killed the leader and took his place.

                Through the next few years Sid ran the crime circuit in the US, everything from drugs, white collar forgeries, and blood sport. His crime rule spread from state to state, his name known and feared worldwide, he was the crime lord. He ruled for 13 years before there was an uprising, other crime fractions teamed up with law enforcement to take him down. It was March 24 and Sid was on his way to a meeting, when he and his men were ambushed in the streets. It was a massacre 360 men from both sides killed including Sid.

                When he awoke he was in a dark room with two women across from him; one in white and gold, Alice and the other in red in black, Lilith. It was the daughters of God and Lucifer the new rulers. They talked to Sid about his situation and gave him a choice. He could either be reborn as a demon and their mercenary to atone for his sins or spend his life begging for mercy in Hell. Sid thinking he could manipulate it picked the first option.

                Two years have passed since the massacre and chaos has consumed half the world. A war for power with corrupt law and powerful crooks, all wanting to take over where Sid left off. Sid was reborn as promised, he is now known as the Blood Demon working to return order to the world he destroyed. Watched closely by the two girls who gave him new life, he still hasn’t found a way out.

                He got the name Blood Demon because of his demon appearance and everyone who has lived after seeing him saw him drenched in his victims’ blood. Now Sid didn’t kill any one innocent, no he was tasked with killing the men and women he raised to help rule his crime empire. Taking out all who opposed his new masters’ will and those who dare get in his way.

                Sid kept it up slaying whole towns involved in crime, starting in the east and moving toward America. Of course he did get some down time, when he finds a city that is safe he gets to spend the day in his human form. In a town called Niska, where Sid got to spend the day without having to kill. While there he met an interesting woman named Rosie, a girl who can see what he really is.

                You see when Rosie was a girl she was very fun loving and free spirited, but one day she got into an accident. She was out playing one day and that’s when it happened, a snake fell out of a tree and bit her eyes. She was blinded after that, they had to surgically remove both of her eyes. She grew up half her life blind to the rest of the world. When she got older her and her sister traveled in search of someone to give Rosie vision again.

                They eventually found someone, a witch doctor living in Louisiana. He said that he could give her vision but it would cost her two things. One the memories of her sister and that she would never see the world like she used to. The sisters talked it over, but since they were never close to begin with, they agreed and the doctor preformed his magic. As promised Rosie got her vision and new eyes formed and she and her sister had forgotten each other.

                Now Rosie first saw Sid on the news the day she got her vision back, it was the day of his massacre. Then when the Blood Demon first came on the news for the murder of 72 people she saw who he really was. So the day he showed up in her new home town she eagerly offered him a place to stay for the night. Shocked Sid accepted Rosie’s offer without a second thought. While Sid was hanging out with Rosie she grilled him about his life and told him that she knew who he was.

Sid not knowing what to do in the situation confessed to her that she was right but, he didn't know whether he would have to kill her for knowing or not. That night the two were eating dinner in staring at each other in silence. When suddenly there was a flash of light and Alice appeared, then fire burnt a hole in Rosie’s floor and Lilith rose from Hell. Telling them that they were going to work together to kill the new queen of crime Rosie’s forgotten sister, Lilly.

Sid asked if he did this would he be lifted of his demon curse and what happens after she’s dead? The sisters hesitant to answer said that if they work together and kill her that he would have one final task then they would both be freed of their curses. Rosie asked what curse, what are you talking about? Alice told her to not worry about it for the time being she’ll figure it out as she goes on her journey with Sid.

That night Sid, Rosie, Alice, and Lilith stayed up talking about what Sid and Rosie were about to set out to do. Alice and Lilith told them that they would have to train on the move if Rosie was ever going to be strong enough to be of any use. Sid told the girls about The Lords of Crime, a group that he set up to help spread his influence across the world. There are 13, including Lilly, that rule different parts of the world form the seas to the forests and mountains. Alice thought this would be a perfect way for Rosie to get some training.

Their mission was set but there was still one thing that they needed to do, Alice and Lilith had to give Rosie the powers of an angel. See the girls were told by their fathers to pick to mercenaries, one for Heaven and one for Hell, so they can only make Rosie into an angel. For Rosie it would be easy to accept the powers of an angel since she was once so close to death. So for the ritual all she had to do is give all of herself to God and Alice as their mercenary.

The next morning the blessing of a clean town was gone and Sid was transformed back to his demon form. When he went to get his stuff Rosie was there with their bags packed and in her new angel form. Alice and Lilith were there to explain why she was like this and to see them off. Their journey began and they were off to kill all of The Lords of Crime and Rosie’s sister. It took a year for them to travel to 12 of the crime lords and it was finally time to take on Lilly.

Through their battles word spread to Lilly that they were on their way and she bumped up all defenses of her headquarters named The Tower, a 100 story behemoth of a building. But Sid and Rosie gained power through all of their fights: Rosie having powers to heal the wounded and smite the damned and Sid can control the shadows his dark presence able to stun his foes. Rosie also gained the nickname of the Heavenly Slayer, from a town she set off to and saved during the year of training. As they arrived in town they see that Lilly has taken the whole thing over. People were trying to stop them everywhere they went but they pushed through and reached The Tower.

It was finally time to end this madness and return order to the world, when they got to the door a screen popped up and Lilly was there with a message. She said “come get you damn demon and make she you bring that angel to her death too”. The screen then fell and there was a group of people waiting for Sid and Rosie to come in. Sid laughed and walked in some of the men shot at him while others rushed at him with swords. The bullets went through him and fell onto the ground then he used his powers to stop the men right before their blades sliced into him.

The men panicked and tried to run but it was too late Sid had them all in his web of shadows, he killed the ones with the swords and walked past the others leaving them for Rosie. Rosie simply walked by and touched them sending them to the ground dead but kissed one to learn what was in store for her and Sid. She learned that on each floor there were more and more powerful foes for them to face and Sid was excited. They traveled up each floor taking out everyone they face and within an hour they were finally at the 99^th floor about to go up. When they got up there it was pitch black and a wicked laugh filled the air.

The lights turned on and it was a room of mirrors, in the middle of the room Lilly appeared and the mirrors reflected her all around. She said “I hope you’ve enjoyed yourselves so far but the fun has just began,” she laughed then disappeared. Sid furious broke a mirror and behind it was a 8’7’’ man whose fist was the size of Sid’s chest and had more muscles then a strong man competition. The man said “I am Vladimir Kruztak and it is time for the two of you to die,” as he picked up Sid and threw him across the room through 32 mirrors. Vladimir was fast and he used the mirrors to hide where he was going next as he came up behind Rosie and kicks her to the roof cracking the ceiling.

Sid rushed Vlad and started hitting him in the back full force, but all that did was piss Vlad off. Vlad mule kicked Sid sending him flying into the wall, then rushed Sid full speed and crushed him breaking his bones. Rosie decided to use the mirrors to her advantage this time and try to lure Vlad into a trap so she could go heal Sid. She hollered at Vlad and he came racing toward her and right to her trap, she had blasted a hole in the ground that went all the way to the first floor. Rosie tripped Vlad and he fell all the way and landed on his head, Rosie then rushed to Sid and healed him fixing his bones.

Pissed off Sid broke off a long shard of glass off of one of the mirrors and jumped down the hole and impelled it into Vlad through his spine and out his skull. Rosie floated down to Sid to calm him down and when she got there another hologram of Lilly appeared. Sid jumped at her thinking it was really her but just went through her. Lilly said “Congratulations you’ve killed all of my men but now it’s my turn come down to the basement and meet your fate, oh and Rosie it’s good seeing you again.”

 

An elevator rose from the ground where Vlad lay dead and lifted his hulky body up. Sid and Rosie got on and went down to face off against Lilly and finally end this journey. When they got down there Lilly was there smiling and laughing “welcome to my home” she said, “and one of your tombs”. Confused Sid said “What the hell do you mean and how do you know Rosie!?” Rosie answered “It’s because she is my sister who gave up her memories of me to give me sight.” Lilly Smiled and sat down in a chair “so how about we talk” she said.

Sid wanting to end his curse yelled “HELL NO!” and rushed at her and ripped her head off. Rosie shocked fell to the ground as all the in tears from all of the memories of her sister rushing through her head. Lilith and Alice appeared in the room to congratulate them and to reveal their finally step to rid them of their curses. Rosie stood up and said “I know what it is we have to fight to the death”. Surprised Alice said yes and asked how she knew. Rosie said that her sister told her in her own way.

Rosie then rushed at Sid furious that he killed her sister so heartlessly and the final battle finally started. The two of them fought it out for hours countering each other as Alice and Lilith watched. Getting tired of the fight the girls were talking and decided to unleash Sid and Rosie’s full power. Once they did the power of each blow destroyed the building above them. Finally in a last chance effort Sid got close enough and slit Rosie’s throat with a dagger that he had been carrying the whole time.

Sid laid Rosie on the ground as she gasped for air, he was sad that he had to kill the person that he had been with through most of this. Then he looked at his masters, Alice praying for Rosie’s soul to rest in Heaven with her sister and Lilith bowing her head at the death. A few days pass and Sid and the girls were summoned up to God’s throne where Lucifer stood beside him. God said “you have done well Sid to serve our daughters”. “In return,” Lucifer added, “we will give you one thing which we presume will be your humanity back.”

Sid stood there thinking then looked around at the girls and then said to God “I’m fine being like this actually”. God surprised asked “what do you want then my child?” Sid smiled and said “Bring Rosie back to life with her vision and no knowledge of what has happened the past few years. Just her as the happy girl she was before all this.” God nodded and agreed and summoned for Rosie’s soul. God returned her to her human form, her vision fixed, and no more curse.

Sid said to her “you have a second chance don’t waste it”. She smiled and hugged him and then was sent back to Earth where she can live now in peace. Sid stayed as the Blood Demon no longer working for Heaven or Hell, yet he still hangs out with Alice and Lilith. Sid also didn’t feel right leaving Rosie on her own so he also acted as her personal guardian helping her from the shadows.

the magnitude of this story overwhelmed me. it has many twists and turns, things you didn't see coming. i like the names of alice and lilith representing good and bad. alice the good and the succubus, lilith as the evil one. it is also poignant that they made a pact with god to destroy the evil he once spread. i like the sub plot of rosie and her sister. the fight scene was very cinematic. all in all, i enjoyed this story. great job.

Intriguing story... the plot is riveting!
You built the characters to claim their rights, (antagonist vs the protagonist) good vs evil...very intense!
I like that Sid is not perfect, but proves himself in the end.. Nicely Done!! :)
