Unchangeable

Unchangeable

A Poem by Lauren N. Rodriguez
"

Alighieri-inspired paradigm of boredom.

"
The course this day has taken
Has winded down to darkness
Twisted into boredom
Forsaken into the acts of neglect
Spinning chaotically to a spiraling doom
Painted black and streaked with metallic fire
Burning flames of steel and rust
Arises an aroma of betrayal and lust

Coiled in the dark lie the 7 sins
Amongst them three beasts
And yet to begin
Constricting their prisoners with guilt n remorse
Eating their hearts out
And sipping their blood
Licking their lips with satisfaction
That these lost souls
Have had no reaction

And forgiveness is crippled
Limping away
Sorrow is dust
And swept away by winds of remembrance

These things will become potent
If one doth forgets
These things will come through
And become large regrets

But time soon goes
Passes unnoticed
Sneaks up
Dies down
And again is in jeopardy
When smiles fuse into frowns
When everything
Turns to nothing
With no reasons to matter
Our world disassembles
Our world does shatter
