"Yes I fell"

"Yes I fell"

A Poem by Vincent Esprit FMI

I do not believe it,

But it is true,

Of all the days of my life,

Today,

I have fallen,

And oh What a pleasant fall,

In love,

To be,

To be human,

To understand,

That Jesus fell in love with humanity,

And for that his life on a cross ended,

But through this seemingly defeat,

Everlasting life flowed into my veins.

Very poignant, Vincent. And very true, that when we fall in love with one, we fall in love with all. 'and oh what a pleasant fall'.....got me smiling here.

Beautiful. I love the way you compare falling in love to the love of Jesus the Messiah. It's a wonderful written poem.

It's too bad that Humanity doesn't fall in love with Him.
Granted, some do :) At least we can lay all our troubles
at the Cross. Uplifting Poem of Praise.

Awesome!!! The imagery here is amazing. Everyday, I seek what you found. And I succeed! Thank you for sharing. You have definitely just done His work.

I find it really interesting that you're juxtaposing romantic love with the love that Christ has for the Church and for humanity. I like the sense of redemption in this poem. The structure of the lines with some of them so brief and others longer, do suggest for me a sense of falling or floating. I think there is an important message here which you've managed to convey concisely and effectively.
