One-Day UtopiaA Poem by Joo NaWhen a chance is given for you to be with him, you just have tp write about it
Funny how we were strangers before
But a quick decision opened the door Early morning velvet, thick with lights Took a forward step and saw the sites Silence engulfed us but it was fine Feelings hid behind glasses that shine I didn't move, stuck on gray sheets Settled for looking at colors on the streets Thought it was hopeless but four corners said otherwise Things, I believe, suddenly went haywire Tiny, scared, stilted how you sounded Do you think that I'd want you dead? It became easy when I thought that it wouldn't You said various things that you probably shouldn't The black that appeared it didn't matter For the moments did not waver A different scenery came into focus Slight touch however not obvious And then there it is my ragged breath Someone tell me what's going on in my head A lone statue, I stood still You went near at your will Mute voices I pay no mind to I hope I don't leave any clue The sun went away quickly Do you think that it's silly? I lent you a helping hand It's with an honest motive, don't misunderstand So we arrive and my feet arise A wave and then you showed me your smile Thanking God for a blessing so true That was my one-day utopia with you © 2015 Joo Na |
