Don't Believe Yourself

Don't Believe Yourself

A Poem by LeeAnne
"

just don't, okay?

"

Don't believe yourself
This is not what you think
We all know the truth but you
It's clearly written in ink
There's no catch to what I'm saying
It's just clearly what I'm telling you
So stop worrying about yourself
And worry about what others do
Then maybe you can be trusted
And you'll get the straight story
Instead of sitting there everyday
Just thinking so hopelessly
You are so self-centered
Getting caught up in the hype
Don't always believe what you think
This time, this is not the same type
It was all a mistake
No harm was ever to be done
But who would ever think
That you would be the one
To just pop in all of our minds
That single, innocent day
Well, there's nothing more
That I can say
So please
Don't always believe yourself
Try to believe me

WOW! Never heard from this viewpoint before...this poem is amazing. It did make me think. (I'll probably have to think on it a little more.)
Again, good job. Quite an original piece.
