Mythos of Forgotten Deities: Tartarus

Mythos of Forgotten Deities: Tartarus

A Poem by Stargazer
"

A brief description on the creation of the world by Greek mythology and of the ancient Greek version of Hell, Tartarus.

"
The prison of the Titans breathes and grows
Swallows the damned and gives birth to all

A tide of darkness and a dream of light
Father of the stars and mother of the night

Nine and nine more days from heaven
Where justice is delivered or dies
The souls of the wicked suffer and cry

A skeletal sailor on the river of souls
Endlessly travels back and forth

In its depths the chains of Kronos rattle
Reminder and bane of a lost battle

Underneath the earth in shadow's domain
Torment and strife are commanded by the insane

Down in Tartarus the commandments are renewed
Are you staring at the abyss or is it staring at you?
