Where the smoke goes

Where the smoke goes

A Poem by Stargazer
"

Sociopolitical poem with a large amount of allegory.

"
Release me from the damp and cold
And take me where the smoke goes

I wonder if it rains or if it snows
Where the smoke goes

If the clouds swallow the sun
Or if shadow has been undone

If joy has defeated pain
Or if the pretenders are still the sane

Down within the seas
Or above the skies riding the winds

Where are my decaying dreams
My lack of pride and sense of sin

I wonder if I'll find kindred souls
Where the smoke goes
