Ascension

Ascension

A Poem by Stargazer
"

A tragic story about a man who escaped the shackles of time and watches as his sanity melts away along with the universal beauty he wished to observe.

"
Escaping my fleshcraft shell
Entering the cosmic well
Where miracles dwell
My soul feels frail

Adopting the eternal night
Attempting the endless flight
Attracted by worlds with gravitational might
while bathed in lunar light

Where up and down are one
Where west and east are gone
Where all and none's to be
Where existence surpasses dreams

I ascend
Amazed until the end

Gargantuan cliffs with a colourful flair
Galaxies composing an interstellar faire
Vastness piercing my soul's veil
The astral stare

Then realities collide
Grinding all in sight
I let out a vain cry
As I merge with the black sky

Where up and down are one
Where west and east are gone
Where all and none's to be
Where existence surpasses dreams

I ascend
Forever trapped in the end
