Reach My Love

Reach My Love

A Poem by Wings of Sand
"

Fly high to Reach my love and shine

"

I try to fly, towards the sky,
To reach out to my love on high,
But here i am tied up in strands,
In knots too strong on a deserted land,

Family afar, Friends on the other shore,
My love out of reach, making me feel sore,
My strength fades, faith withers away,
What else can I do, but to await every day,

I sit with longing, watching out the sea,
Waiting when my love would come back for me,
'Cause its his face everywhere I see,
And his love is the only thing that could set me free,

For he loved me, he kissed me, he made me smile,
And for that to happen again might take a while,
My little restless heart becomes heavy with pain,
Cause my efforts to bring my love back are all in vain,

If you ever wish to do me a favor,
For its the moments with him that i always savor,
Untie these knots and mend these wings of mine,
Enable me to fly high reach my love and shine.

This is a awesome poem, welcome back into the world of poetry!!!!
i could see how much you long for your love,

i may not be able to untie those knots,
all i can do is send some love in thoughts,
pray, and the lord will guide your way,
will send some sun to brighten your day!

A small correction, i just felt that there were few places where the rhyme seems forced, otherwise this is really really good write!!!
Keep writing more
