EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE ITS ORIGIN

EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE ITS ORIGIN

A Poem by P.VIJAY KUMAR

EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE ITS ORIGIN

Everything should have its origin.

The river found the mountain peak,

The celestial abyssal peace,

To flow down.

Ocean from

The heart of earth.

Love found a broken word,

Took off and burns still,

To make it whole and impart a meaning.

Kiss from the evening bliss.

Rain from the clouds.

The road found desires.

The cat found the mouse.

The tree from the greens

Of an inexplicable aspiration.

Word found silence.

Thoughts found the grief,

To break away from a depth,

Profound and prolific.

And me?-

I know it’s you, my beloved,

For whom I tread the nights,

An incessant light of love,

The origin and withering

Of everything and nothing.

Nice metaphor of elements of nature for matters of the heart. All things would have an origin in cause and effect, yet this an interesting, more static, take on that idea. The concepts of rivers to the sea, a kiss from evening bliss, and without words there would be no silence (or sense of calm), and so on... all blend together well in this write... with a great presentation that leads to the sentiments of "you." Yet I am unsure if your premise is to pose an argument for origins or just to state point of view... but then I'm the uncertainty type. Excellent write!
