Summer nights

Summer nights

A Poem by violet michelle

The night is cool and the moon is yellow above the trees.
All I can think about is you.
How much I cared about you.
How little you cared about me.
How much I feel like I need you... and how much I want you gone.
So where does that leave you?
It leaves you missing a friend that you need more then you know.
And lacking someone to boost your confidence.
Because that's all I am, someone to tell you what you want to here.
But you know what?
Find someone else to feed your vanity.
And me?
This leaves me more or less alone missing parts of even myself.
It leaves me without a heart to wrap my raw love around,
and a wasted summer of nights like this one.

'Someone to tell you what you want to here.' Typo, I meant 'hear'.
