The Bitter End

The Bitter End

A Poem by violet michelle
"

a poem describing saying goodbye to a year of memories.

"
What does ninth grade mean to me?
Tears and the fear of being forgotten,
Running in the tall grass praying to lose yourself,
Disobeying just to feel the thrill,
Loving like you don't need anything else,
Singing into hairbrushes, we can always dream,
Stargazing, all the constellations shine down for us to see,
Smiling in the sun and picking flowers, he loves me, he loves me not...
Wind blowing your hair at the highest point of that tree,
Conversations full of promise, who knows what we'll become,
What does saying goodbye mean to me?
Last words not meant for you to forget,
Saying you'll call everyday but you forget once and never think of it again,
Wishing you'd kissed him before you left but just left with regret.
Every year changes everything...
