Letter To PriyaA Poem by Vidya BacchusWords to my daughter Letter To Priya I know you're sad sometimes, And words ring hollow, Even from those you know love you, Life is strange and unexpected, There's no handbook and no manual, And most likely it would be in a foreign language, If it existed. But you needn't worry little one, Life could never, Wear down a spirit as strong as yours, Or a heart as big as yours, Or ever dull a smile as gorgeous as yours, So if you're tired take a rest, If you need to talk talk to me. You'll make mistakes , But that's how you learn, You'll have your heart broken , But you'll find someone, Who'll help you mend it, Because life is hard, But it can be so great and you will hold it in the palm of your hand.
