Dear CoffeeA Poem by Vidya BacchusIf coffee were a man I would be a stalker. Dear coffee, I just want to say I'm your biggest fan, You can always be found hot and black in my hands, I've tried your cousins chocolate and tea, But those guys are so not for me. They don't have your color or taste on my tongue, I mean come on they aren't black they're brown. Don't look at me like that I'm proclaiming my love, I even brought my favorite mug. You seem scared but its alright, I didn't come here to start a fight, No need to call security I'll behave, I wonder if you'll be so kind to walk into this cage, Fine, fine,I understand your dubious glance, All will be fine just give me as chance, I just happen to have some water and sugar, Would you mind lending me a finger? Sigh all my best laid plans have gone amiss, Because you my beloved refuse to cooperate, And let me whisk you away far away from here, To a place where your caffeine I would never have to share.
